Music this Sunday

“Here is the church and here is the steeple /
We sure are cute for two ugly people …”
-Anyone Else But You
, The Moldy Peaches
When you’re done with church (or brunching) with your cute, ugly person, make your way to the noon show at Southpaw. Kimya Dawson, formerly of the Moldy Peaches and now featured in Juno, will perform her honest, sweet songs. It’s $10, and considering that she’s likely to ride the quirky, lovable Juno rocket to stardom, I wouldn’t expect it to be less any time soon.

OR … If you want to go for a bigger name and free event, KT Tunstall is performing at the Apple Store in SoHo at 3 p.m. Very cool, likely very crowded (it’s steps from NYU and right around the time they’re rollin’ out of bed :).
